The service

Receipts to Spreadsheet reads the receipts you drop, with the help of an artificial intelligence service, and turns them into an Excel file and a CSV file. Reading and the preview are free. Downloading the file is paid. Only the sample is free.

What the file is, and what it is not

• Tax amounts are read from each receipt. They are never calculated. A tax that is not printed leaves its cell empty.
• Our code checks every number read. Each row carries a confidence mark. Rows marked "Review" and "Check" must be checked before use.
• Automatic reading can be wrong even when the checks pass. The expense category is a suggestion.
• Receipts to Spreadsheet does not give tax or accounting advice, and does not guarantee that an expense is deductible or that a tax credit is allowed.

You remain responsible for checking the file before you use it in a return or in your books.

Your receipts

Only drop receipts that are yours or that you have the right to process, for example those of a client whose books you keep and who allowed it.

You may not use Receipts to Spreadsheet to make, alter or imitate a receipt or an invoice.

Price and payment

The price is $9.99 CAD per file, for a batch of up to 100 receipts, plus tax where applicable. It is shown before any payment.

It is a one time charge. There is no subscription and no renewal.

Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see your card number.

The sample is free to download.

A file we cannot read at all is refused when you drop it: it does not go into the table and does not count.

When a number on a receipt that was read fails our checks (sum, total or unreadable amount), the site tells you before any payment. The row is marked "Check this one" in the file, and the price stays the same. If the file does not work for you, you can still get a refund (see below).

If no receipt is usable, the site offers no payment and no file.

Refunds

If the file does not work for you, we refund you on request within 30 days. See the refund policy.

Liability

We do our best to keep the service accurate and available, but it can misread a receipt. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the file concerned. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply there.
